Role at Rimpparemmi: Dancer, Choreographer, Technical Coordinator.
History: I studied at the Tampere Conservatory and have been working at Rimpparemmi since 2009.
The best thing about dancing is that I get to connect with my inner child. I have permission to focus on something incredibly small and “trivial” and play with it way too seriously and for as long as I want.
The downside of dance is that it can get hot, and my stamina runs out.
Tanssiteatteri Rimpparemmi, an art organization driven by passion and perseverance. In Rimpparemmi, there’s room for every idea, and ideas are given the opportunity to breathe. Rimpparemmi is fearless when it comes to new things. It is strong and sensitive, and close to people.
Choosing a favorite performance from Rimpparemmi is a difficult question. Of course, it’s always the one we’re working on at the moment. However, perhaps as a performer, the “most important” piece for me has been ‘Kertomus Seitsemästä hirtetystä (The story about Seven Hanged). It encapsulated everything that this theater is about.
